A Confidence Workout - a review

Here is an article published by one of the attendees at Coaching for Results' 'A Confidence Workout' workshop last year

Confidence Boost

"I recently went on a Confidence Workshop run by Coral Jones of Coaching for Results.

Coaching has become a big thing over the last few years and I was keen find out more. Coaching can be provided for your business or personal life and promises to offer huge benefits.

The course I went on was called a confidence workout and it professes to share the secrets to unshakable confidence in yourself and your business.
The course runs from 10.30am-4pm in Portishead. So not too much time taken out of your business, which is always good and easy to get to.

I was with a small group of 6 and although it got off to a quiet start it didn't take us long to get to know each other. In fact Coral runs the courses in such a way as to make sure people get involved and interact with each other.

The course involves the use of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP), I can't give you a full description of what this is here, but the likes of Paul McKenna use it and it includes techniques such as visualisation. I am a strong believer in positive thinking and NLP seems to be taking this a step further so I felt it could indeed be very useful. The effect of some of the techniques used on the course could be felt straight away, but theidea is you go away and keep using them to get the full benefits - and I can certainly see how they could be very beneficial in life and in business. Everybody on the course had positive feedback about the course and did say they felt it had helped with their confidence. However as with most courses what you get out of them depends on what you are prepared to put in! I did leave feeling very motivated on the day, and I could see how the confidence workout we were given could bring positive results. But like any workout, you have to keep doing the workouts to get the results!
